Description :

On September 28, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) announced an Industry Day for the NGA Leadership Development program. Responses are required by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 8.

NGA intends to issue a solicitation for enhancing Leadership Development Program capabilities in early CY2022. In preparation, the NGA will be hosting an Industry Day(s) on November 4th and 5th (day two as needed) in St Louis, Missouri, and Springfield, Virginia. This event will open with a 90-minute virtual plenary session to share NGA’s vision and way forward for developing NGA leaders globally, followed by scheduled hands-on technical demonstrations and 1:1 conversations. We seek to know your interest in participating in one or more of the opportunities NGA offers as part of this Industry Day.

Specifics regarding the technical demonstrations and 1:1 conversation are as follows:

Technical demonstrations: NGA teammates want to “experience” – in-person- commercial digital “leadership learning and development platforms. The platform should provide comprehensive technical capabilities that are human-centered and allow end-users to create personalized leadership learning and development journeys. They should integrate but are not limited to embedded collaboration and facilitation tools, coaching, diverse networks of experts, cutting-edge technology, artificial intelligence, leadership micro-learning content, and the means to measure progress and accomplishment in learning and development. The specifics around the logistics for setup, interaction with NGA employees, and breakdown are in development and will depend upon room size availability and COVID restrictions.

Please note: all visitors to NGA facilities must provide their certification of vaccination status and, if not fully vaccinated, must provide a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the visit. NGA will make details available no less than two weeks before the event for all companies acknowledging their interest in participating in this element of the Industry Day. Industry members should be aware that multiple demonstrations may occur in the same room simultaneously, exhibit style.

1:1 conversation: As the NGA finalizes the strategy and requirements for evolving leadership development to meet the needs of teammates worldwide, we invite deeper information sharing and dialogue to maximize the collective thinking about best practices for leading successfully in the 21st-century workplace. 1:1 conversations will be virtual and limited to 30 minutes. Planning flexibility is possible for those companies scheduling in-person demonstrations and 1:1 conversations. The government may be unable to respond immediately to all questions asked during the 1:1s.

To gauge interest and participation for time and space planning purposes, the NGA requires advance scheduling for demonstrations and 1:1 sessions. Responses are required no later than 11:59 p.m., October 8, 2021.
