Description

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on current industry offerings and capabilities that would meet NGA’s mission requirements.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) provides timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial intelligence, analytical services, mission specific data, and information solutions to policy decision makers and federal agencies in support of the nation’s homeland security initiatives. NGA is the geospatial data broker, integrator, and consolidator, acquiring Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) geospatial content in direct support of domestic operational, situational, and strategic awareness of the nation’s infrastructure. Additionally, this content facilitates crisis response, consequence management, preparedness planning, and infrastructure analysis and protection.

This requirement is for a commercial Business Points geospatial database (geospatial vector data layers) in support of the Homeland Security/Homeland Defense (HLS/HD), National Preparedness - Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response and Recovery (NP-PPMR&R) mission (hereafter referred to as the “Homeland Security Mission”) to protect the nation’s infrastructure. This mission is conducted in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-7), Presidential Policy Directive-8: National Preparedness (PPD-8), Presidential Policy Directive-21: Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (PPD-21), and the National Strategy for the Physical Protection of Critical Infrastructure and Key Assets.

2.0Scope

The Statement of Work (SOW) contains requirements for a Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) Business Points data set. The vendor shall provide the required geospatial data layers over the following Areas of Interest (AOI):

2.1 The 50 United States and the District ofColumbia (3,806,000 sq. miles)

2.2 U.S.territories & commonwealths: Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands
