1. The U.S. Army is undertaking a series of modernization and
acquisition reforms designed to focus on the future warfare of Soldier and
small unit modernization. Aligned with the Army's modernization strategy,
the Army Futures Command, and the Soldier Lethality Cross Functional Team,
the Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments or AEWE is seeking technologies
or concepts that will make Soldiers and small units more effective and
lethal within multi-domain maneuver environments. Join the team and
experience the Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) 2021. The Army
Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) announces opportunities to showcase
your innovative technology that will get hands on use by Infantry Soldiers.
We are looking for the following technologies: software/hardware, sensors,
radios, weapons, robotics, optics/scopes, or drones. Learn, identify, and
improve your technology concepts through partnership with various Army
agencies and personnel.
2. Background. The Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) is
the largest Army Live Experimentation venue with prototype assessments that
provide an opportunity for industry partners to assist the U.S. Army in
improving combat capabilities. AEWE 2021 will examine new concepts and
prototype technologies to enhance Soldier and small unit capabilities. To
sustain the deploy, fight, and win Army Mission, the Future Force must
assess current equipment shortfalls, and also transform, regenerate, and
leverage industry resources. Through AEWE 2021, industry partners can
accelerate and reduce cost in prototype development, while also
collaborating with Soldiers, engineers, and Army analysts.
3. Intent. The Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) will host Army
Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) 2021 to examine capabilities and
concepts designed to address solutions for cross-domain maneuver at the
small tactical unit level (company and below).
