Mobile Area Cordon Equipment (MACE)

Raleigh, NC

M.A.C.E. for Combat

– MARCH 20, 2018

When ingenuity and engineering meet in the combat zone, designs like the Mobile Area Cordon Equipment (MACE) stop would-be attackers in their tracks.

Conceptualized by U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Terran Mace, Georgian Liaison Team joint fires observer, whose unit experienced a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonation outside of Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan in September 2017, the MACE device is designed to keep U.S. and coalition service members safe within a cordon.
