Based on your questions and interest in the state tax on military retirement pay, our guest this week is David Hayden who is uniquely qualified to address this issue. In addition to being a former paratrooper, JAG, and retired Army Colonel, David has been appointed twice by the North Carolina Governor to serve on the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission where he chairs the Economic Development Committee (full bio below). He knows the background, what's been done, current movement and obstacles, and the road ahead. If you are interested in this topic, personally or professionally e.g. workforce talent, DoD interest, BRAC, etc, you don't want to miss this one.
