Description: The United States Air Force will hold a five-day virtual event, powered by AFWERX, starting Monday, April 27, 2020, to launch Agility Prime, an Air Force initiative to operationalize commercial electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles (i.e., "flying cars") for military missions and accelerate the emerging commercial eVTOL market in the United States.
The event will be hosted by top Air Force leadership: Secretary Barbara Barrett, Chief of Staff, General David Goldfein, and Assistant Secretary for Acquisition and Logistics, Dr. Will Roper. Additionally, we will feature interactive keynotes and panels, and a World Premiere /// Unveiling of a new aircraft!
The Air Force recently launched Agility Prime, a non-traditional program seeking to accelerate the commercial market for advanced air mobility vehicles (i.e., "flying cars"). Leveraging unique testing resources and revenue-generating government use cases for distributed logistics and disaster response, the government plans to mitigate current commercial market and regulatory risks. Agility Prime also aims to bring together industry, investor, and government communities to establish safety and security standards while accelerating the commercialization of this revolutionary technology.
