The North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Team (DEFTECH) is a statewide entity of North Carolina, embedded within the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC).  Through education, outreach, networking and liaison, DEFTECH bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and defense needs by helping companies access federal and DoD funding opportunities.

DEFTECH’s mission is to position North Carolina as a frontrunner in federal research and development by fostering a robust R&D ecosystem. Key activities include seminars, webinars, and strategic partnerships with the University and Community College Systems, research institutions, federal and DoD initiatives, tech scouting initiatives, and other business support.
